During my recent stay at the Ship Inn, I was pleasantly surprised by the charm of this historic pub set by the serene river Ouse. Upon arrival, the welcoming smiles from the friendly staff immediately made me feel at home, reminiscent of my travels in the Maldives where hospitality is key. Though we faced a minor hiccup with our room initially being unfinished, the management promptly addressed our concerns and offered complimentary drinks, showcasing their commitment to service. The restaurant delivered excellent food with generous portions, and the local real ales offered were an enjoyable touch during our evening wind-down. The location is fantastic for outdoor enthusiasts like us; kayaking and cycling along the river added invigorating activities to our itinerary. With cozy rooms, a beautiful setting, and incredibly warm service, I can't wait to bring my partner back for another escape!
